1. Printers and publishers; CD’s publishers since transferring from Chapman & Hall in 1844.
2. Initial lower case "e" overwritten with capital letter.
3. Pictures from Italy was first published in the Daily News between 21 January and 11 March 1846, then as a single volume in May 1846, with illustrations by Samuel Palmer. Bradbury & Evans's Accounts show that CD was sent 25 copies in total; see To Felix Joyce, 19 May 1846, in Pilgrim Letters 4, p. 547.
